At Ian Hart Funerals, we’re committed to making our funeral prices represent real value and making sure all our funeral choices are as affordable as possible. As a fourth generation family business, we understand how difficult it can be for those left behind to organise a funeral in the wake of the loss of a loved one.

Clear and open pricing means you’ll know how much a funeral is likely to be. That means you’ll be able to start making decisions as soon as you begin looking into what’s available and what’s possible.

Funeral Price List

All undertakers are obliged by law to publish a full and detailed funeral price list for a standardised set of products and services. This is so that those trying to plan a funeral for a loved one – something that will usually be done under difficult circumstances – are able to think through their options and compare between different providers in as stress-free a way as possible.

ATTENDED FUNERAL (IAN HART FUNERAL SERVICE LTD CHARGES ONLY) [£2250]

This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.

Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements.

Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care.

Care of the deceased person before the funeral in appropriate facilities. The deceased person will be kept at the funeral director’s branch premises.

Providing a suitable coffin – this will be made from simulated oak veneer.

Viewing of the deceased person for family and friends, by appointment with the funeral director.

At a date and time you agree with the funeral director, taking the deceased person direct to the agreed cemetery or crematorium (normally within 20 miles of the funeral director’s premises) in a hearse or other appropriate vehicle.

UNATTENDED FUNERAL

This is a funeral where family and friends may choose to have a ceremony, event, or service, for the deceased person, but they do not attend the burial or cremation itself.

FEES YOU MUST PAY

For an Attended or Unattended burial funeral, the burial fee.1

ADDITIONAL FUNERAL DIRECTOR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

This funeral director may be able to supply a range of optional, additional products and services, or to arrange (on your behalf) for a third party to supply them. Examples include:

1 This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
