Welcome

Ian Hart is from one of the oldest funeral directing families. His great grandfather A.J.Pratley founded the parent company at the beginning of the last century before being succeeded by Ian’s grandfather A.G. (Gordon) Pratley in 1927. Ian himself has over 29 years experience in the funeral profession in the Worthing and surrounding district.

Ian was awarded his Diploma in Funeral Directing by the National Association of Funeral Directors in 1989 and is proud to be currently one of the few fully qualified and Licensed Funeral Directors within the County. Ian has been an active member of the Sussex County Association of Funeral Directors and was privileged to serve as their President from 1997 to 2000.

The Premises situated at 92-94 Broadwater Street West, Worthing provide an informal environment in which to discuss and finalise any funeral or memorial arrangement. Should anyone prefer these discussions to take place in the privacy of their own home, Ian would be pleased to accommodate their wishes and visit them there.

Ian Hart Funeral Service will operate to a strict code of practice set down by SAIF (The National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors) and will endeavour under all circumstances to provide full and correct information about the services that are available. Ian’s aim is to listen to and treat all of his clients with respect and courtesy in an effort to meet their very own personal needs, and to ensure that they are completely satisfied with the quality of service received. It is his intention to offer a full and comprehensive service at costs tailored to meet the individual clients requirements, with office facilities and personal visits available seven days a week, at a time suitable to the client.
